A spirited dance is preformed for the training of new
izangoma or diviners, in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Izangoma are chosen by the ancestors to heal the living. Bad dreams, pains, or fainting are signs that the ancestors have chosen a person to become an izangoma, who will then train to become a medium between the living and the dead.
