Functions


Three Peaks is a Palm implementation of the classic windows Tri Peaks solitaire game.

Supports Color, Greyscale and Black & White screens. Also supports High-Resolution on OS 5.x and SONY CLIÉ click here for more information.

Features:

Restrictions when evaluating this software:

    You may play the game for a fixed number of moves. After this limit is exceeded your player list will be deleted and the Hi and Lo-Score lists will be cleared.

    The statistics screen will only display Unregistered.

    To avoid this please register this application.


Main Screen:

Tap on a card to remove it.

Tap on the discard pile to undo your last move.

Tap on the card pile to flip a new card, this will cost you $5 each time.

Every time you remove a card you will gain money, the more you remove in a streak the more you will get. You can watch your progress in the bottom of the screen. The best strategy is to get long streaks as these are rewarded with increasingly higher amounts.

You will receive a $15 bonus for clearing a peak, and a $30 bonus when clearing all peaks.

Use the menu to get access to additional functions as Players, Undo, Preferences, Hi- and Lo-Scores.


New Game:

When a game is over you will be asked to start a new or you can change player. 

If you choose to change player you will be taken to the player screen where you can select the player you wish to switch to.


Player Administration:

In the player administration screen you can use the following functions:

  • Select. This selects the checked player. If you select a different player than the one you entered with and you have cards left on the playing area you will receive a penalty of $5 per card left. To avoid this penalty you can play the current game to the end and then select Change Player.
  • Details. This will take you to the details screen for that player.
  • New. This will create a new player.

Detailed player information:

Enter the name of the player here.

  • Reset. This will reset the players score.
  • Delete. This will delete the player.

Hi-Scores:

This will list the 10 best scores achieved.

Tap Reset to reset all the Hi-Scores.

Tap Gen. Codes to display the Hi-Score code for the selected entry.

This code can then be used to for entry on the All Time Greatest Three Peaks Players.

To Beam HiScores to another Palm just select the HiScores you want to Beam and tap Beam.

It is then possible to import these through the HiScore form on the PDA which received the Hi Scores..


Lo-Scores:

This will list the 10 worst scores achieved.

Tap Reset to reset all the Lo-Scores.


Statistics:

Statistics will be collected for all users when playing. You can change the which  players statistics are displayed by tapping on the left or right arrows in the bottom of the screen.

 

Score The players total score.
Games Total number of games played.
Average The average score achieved for all games.
High Score The highest score..
Low Score The lowest score.
Longest Streak The longest streak score.
Best Game The highest score in a single game.
Worst Game The lowest score in a single game.
Won/Lost Won games/lost games.
ThreePeaks How many times all 3 peaks has been cleared.
ThreePeaks % The % of games with all 3 peaks cleared.

Preferences:

In Preferences you can select your preferred display mode.

You can only select a mode which is supported by your device.

You can also select which side of the playing area you wish to have the card pile on.

This enables lefthanded users to better enjoy the game.

To enable the Help marker, tick the Display helper box. This will display a little marker on the cards that can be removed. 

If you tick the Display Time box you will be able to see what the current time is while you are playing. You can also select to have the clock displayed in either white or black.
