Welcome to Dejobaan QuadBlast!
Thank you for downloading QuadBlast by Dejobaan Games! To install, simply copy
the .PDB and .PRC files onto your Palm-Compatible, and tap the QuadBlast icon
to begin. If you enjoy the game, you can order it online at www.dejobaan.com/quadblast/order.htm
for only $9.95. This will unlock 50 new levels, the editor, and allow you to download
free add-on rounds!
Playing Dejobaan QuadBlast
In QuadBlast, you are presented with a block-filled arena. Your task is to eliminate
these blocks by hitting them with a small but mighty ping pong ball. You are given
a number of paddles to deflect the ball; control these via the buttons on your
handheld device:
The 'Address Book' and 'To-Do List' buttons move the paddles to the left and right,
respectively. The 'Page Up' and 'Page Down' buttons move the paddles up and down.
The 'Calendar' button can be used to exit a match at any time.
To begin the game, select 'Play!' from the main menu. You start with a reserve
of five ping pong balls, and lose one if you miss it with a paddle. The game ends
if all five balls are lost.
QuadBlast PlayerPacks and BackPacks
QuadBlast allows registered users to download and install free player-created
levels. You can grab these at our site (www.dejobaan.com/quadblast),
or trade levels with other QuadBlast fans. Both registered and unregistered users
can take advantage of BackPacks, (also on our website). These allow you to replace
the standard QuadBlast background with an assortment of other images. To use these,
simply download, unzip, and install them to your Palm-Compatible.
The Editor
The QuadBlast Editor allows you to create your own levels. Enter this mode by
tapping "Editor" from the main menu. Here, you can paint blocks down by tapping
on areas within the grid. Choose which type of block to paint from the "Block
Sel" button.
Within the editor, the "Options" button will allow you to test your level out,
select a different one to edit, and to modify a level's various parameters. Selecing
"Startup Params" from this menu allows you to change the level's name, and the
ball's starting location. "Paddle Setup" allows you to toggle on and off the four
paddles for a particular level; keep in mind that the more paddles you toggle
on, the tougher the level will be!
When you have created a number of levels, you can play them in a game by going
to the Main Menu, tapping "Play!" and then selecting the "Player-Constructed"
levels. If you'd like to share your levels with the QuadBlast community, you can
Zip up QuadPlayerPack.PDB (look for it in the Palm backup folder on your home
computer after you HotSync). Send this to us, and we'll post it on our website!
