Nothing! This is the first version of this guide!

1. Disclaimer
**********
I wrote this guide specifically for the SaGa Frontier section of
http://www.gamefaqs.com. Please email me if you plan to post this guide on
your site. Not only will your site appear in a fancy little column named
"places to find my FAQ" but I will be comfortable in the knowledge that other
sites wish to post my FAQ.

Besides the gameshark codes, almost everything in this guide is written based
upon my personal experiences. I make no guarentee that these tips, tricks,
codes, hacks, cheats, and whatever else is contained in this guide will work
for you! If you find something you feel is extremely noteworthy that I have
not posted then feel free to submit it to me and I may post it in a
'contributed section.' Thank you! :)

2. Intro
***********
Why does this guide exist?

There is no definative documentation on the SaGa Frontier debug room for one.
I am assuming that most people that play SaGa anymore are people who have
long since beaten it and have bought a gameshark or are considering buying
one in hopes of getting some new life out of it.
If you like SaGa then the debug room should be right up your alley as you'll
be able to create parties you could only dream of before. Thanks to the
debug room the file I am playing at the moment has a main party of Zozma,
Ildon, Asellus, Emelia, and Red, with quite a few other chars out of my total
fifteen, it is quite fun.

3. THE CODES
*******************

Credit goes to Macanfly of the SaGa Frontier message board on
http://www.gamefaqs.com for posting these codes.

NOTE: I have done this with my gameshark CDX Ver 4.0. I do not know what
will happen with older gamesharks or non CDX gamesharks. So dont email me
with technical problems.

First the debug code

80011300C 02E1

This code will put you in the debug room. From a new game or a (I assume)
loaded game.

RegionMap in item spot one
(make sure you dont delete something you may want later)

3001288C 00FD

This will create the RegionMap item for you that you need to exit the debug
room. I used it when I first entered the room and it froze my game. After I
reset it (erasing the codes or 'turning off' the gameshark) and loaded my
save in the debug room it worked fine. However, unless you input the
following code you wont be able to travel much of anywhere

80012B7E 0000
80012B80 0000
this will fill all the region spots on your map, including giving you several
locations not normally accesable. I am not sure what these regions do but
may put it in an updated version of this FAQ.

4. Debug Room
*************
Once you are in the debug room there are really only three things you can do.
Create a party, select which sprite to use as your lead character(out of a
somewhat limited selection) and observe all the other sprites in the game.

You should be in a blue room with some pink japanese writing in the middle of
the floor (head up from where you start, this is a big room) I kept heading
east and eventually hit the party recruitment hall. It shows every
character, talk to the character you wish to recruit. It will show their
name, followed by some japanese text and two options. Clicking yes on the
first option will add or remove the character from your party(you cannot have
the same character multiple times and it will not even offer a selection on
the lead character.) The monsters are all displayed as slimes so you will
have to check their names to see if that is the monster you wish to recruit.

Now that you are in the recruitment hall the rest of the debug room is easy
to get through. Each time you head east you will be in a new room. The next
room is the sprite selection. You can choose from all the main characters,
Alkaiser and either of Riki's forms (monster or humanoid). However you can
not select the Rogue sprite. Interestingly enough you can select Fuse.
Heading east from here will lead you to the first of several sprite rooms.
Keep heading east and you will be able to observe just about every sprite in
the game. If you 'talk' to a sprite it will often list its name and some
japanese text. Of important note is the fact that most of the characters in
the debug room will be listed according to what their japanese name was
('Coon' instead of Riki etc.)

I have not tested extensively the effects of the debug room on the regular
game but as far as I can tell it will make it impossible to continue in any
fashion. On my Lute file I altered my sprite to Fuse and added Capt Hamilton
to my party, whether this affected it in any way I will discuss in a later
update.

I truly hope this information has helped you. Any contributions (by way of
Algus@madmail.com) will be much appreciated. If you wish to 'talk' to me
directly, you can usually find me lurking on the SaGa Frontier board among
others. As of this incarnation of the FAQ I plan for a very large future
update but I would very much appreciate any contributions to add to my work.
And your name, email address, date of birth, zodiac sign or any other
information you give me will get to go in a fancy little 'contributers'
section =)
That's all for now, updates to come!
