Singles Sidelines: The interior lines of the Alleys Doubles Sidelines: The exterior lines of the Alleys _______ |Serving| ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ When serving a player must strike the ball so it lands in the receivers Fore Court on the opposite side of the Center Service Line, this area is called the Service Box. If you don't understand that don't worry, it is very hard not to hit it there in this game. Just use the Control Pad to move your character in position, then press the A or B Button to toss the ball in the air. Now press the A Button for a Top Spin serve, the B Button for a Slice serve or both Buttons simultaneously for a Smash serve. Press a direction on the Control Pad while you press the Button to aim the serve. For a sure fire Ace, make the ball land in the corner where the Sideline meets the Service Line! _________________ |Receiving a Serve| ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ When receiving a serve make sure you hit the ball after its first bounce or the point will be awarded to your opponent. Also in Doubles you must not go over the other side of the court (marked by the Center Mark). _____________________________ |Winning the Game, Set & Match| ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ A basic rule of tennis is to make your opponent run a lot, try aiming your shots so they alternate from the left to right sides of the court. Also variations in the types of shots you do can confuse your opponent, for example do a Drop Shot (B Button then A Button) so the ball lands just over the net then when your opponent hits it back do a Power Top Spin Shot (A button twice) so it flies over their head to the back of the court. Another good tactic is to play really close to the net, you will need much quicker reflexes but so will your opponent. Also when you play close to the net against inexperienced or low level players you sometimes will hit the ball into their feet, the umpire always awards the point to you if this happens. Apart from that the best advice is to keep your eye on the ball at all times! =============================================================================== 2)STORY MODE =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i)Creating a Character ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Firstly select a Story Mode slot, now in the Character Make screen you have a choice of playing as a boy called Alex with his doubles partner Harry or as a girl called Nina with her doubles partner Kuito. Press start to switch between left and right handed. You need to get 30 pts in Level 1 to unlock Level 2 & you need 60 pts in Level 2 to unlock Self Challenge. In Self Challenge you just compete to break your hi-score, but when your record is more then 60 pts in Self Challenge you will unlock a court for use in Exhibition & Link Battle Modes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i)Luigi ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Mini-Game is called Shooting Stars, in it you have to hit the balls that have been pitched to you at stars that appear. Scoring is like so, if you hit a yellow Star you will get 1 point and the next Star will be red. If you hit consecutive balls into the Stars the points you get will double until the Star turns from red to grey, when it turns grey it will not double past 128 pts. If you miss hitting a ball into a star the star will revert back to being yellow and you will get 1 point again for hitting it. This Mini-Game unlocks the Castle Court. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ii)Baby Mario ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Mini-Game is called Target Shot, in it you have to hit balls that have been pitched to you at the hi-lighted parts of the court, if you use the button combination that is written on the court you will get more points. Scoring is like so: Wrong Shot | 1pt Power Top Spin Shot | 3pts Power Slice Shot | 3pts Smash Shot | 5pts Lob Shot | 5pts Drop Shot | 5pts This Mini-Game unlocks the Tropical Court. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- iii)Donkey Kong ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Mini Game called Banana Target Aim, in it you have to bounce a ball repetitively at Banana Targets to get points. If you hit a target while it has a picture of a banana on it you will get 1 point & if you hit it when it has a picture of a bunch of bananas on it you will get 3 points. In Level 2 there are arrow bumpers, these bumpers cause the ball to fly up trapping Donkey into doing a jump shot (which is dangerous in this Mini-Game). Also in Self Challenge the arrow bumpers are in a "DK" formation. This Mini-Game unlocks the Jungle Court. ******************************************************************************* FAQ STATS --------- Version 0.1 Update No 0 Size 13.8KB Pages 6 Words 1901 Characters 13516 Paragraphs 273 Lines 330 GameFAQ's CONTRIBUTER PAGE for AstroBlue: www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/4127.html FAQ's by Shdwrlm3: Pokemon Puzzle League (CGB) Wario Land 3 (CGB) Perfect Dark (CGB) EMAIL- AstroBlue: astroboyblue@aol.com Shdwrlm3: shwdrlm3@aol.com If we don't reply it's either we don't know the answer to the question or your sending us info that we already know or someone has sent before you.
