 INGAME TERMINOLOGY
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 
 -"AUTOGUARD"------------------------------------------------------------
 When a move has autoguard, it has a few frames of blocking moves whilst 
 performing the move. Autoguard is normally attached to 2-3 frames of a 
 move. When hit, the block spark will show as the character who 
 Autoguarded the move will take block damage.
 

 -"OVERHEAD ATTACKS"-----------------------------------------------------
 An overhead attack is an attack cannot be blocked when crouching. They 
 must be blocked whilst standing. Jumping attacks are all overheads and
 needs to be blocked standing.


 -"COMMAND ATTACKS"------------------------------------------------------
 Command attacks can be chained from a standing or crouching normal 
 attack and some can be followed by a DM/SDM.


 -"REVERSALS"------------------------------------------------------------
 Reversals are a move that reverses a certain attack. When done 
 corrrectly, the opponents hit should hit your character, who should 
 reverse their attack. Some reversals can only counter a certain type of 
 attack level.
 
 
 -"COUNTER"---------------------------------------------------------------
 A counter is done where your opponent is performing a move and you do a
 move of your own and you beat them to it. 
 *Example: Iori doing his Yami Barai and K' jumps over it and gives a jump
 D. The Counter property makes moves more damaging and sometimes give 
 extra properties.


 -"GUARD CRUSH"-----------------------------------------------------------
 Guard Crush occurs when you block constantly and you slide back 
 defenceless and taking some damage. After a Guard Crush, you are able to
 be hit for a small period of time.

 =STORY=
  
    
 At midnight, in a laboratory-like facility, three shadows were moving. 
 It looked like there were 3 people entering the darkness. 

 MAN WITH CRIMSON GLOVE: "Shit, There's nobody here."

 WOMAN WITH WHIP: "We were one step late."

 STURDY MAN: "There is no end. Let's see.. let's look around. Looks like there 
 aren't any dangerous materials around."

 The three were really impatient and irritated. 

 STURDY MAN: "Whip, it's not that we don't trust you, but why did you let them move 
 first?" 

 WHIP: "I dunno, Maxima. But, the information I had isn't the newest. So, being late, 
 we can't do anything."

 MAXIMA: "Your information is correct. But-- yo, K'! This time there is too many 
 puzzles."

 K': "What are you talking about, Maxima."

 MAXIMA: "Another KOF tournament is held... every year, there's nothing odd to it. 
 But, this time-- did you see the list of the teams? A NEST team! NEST team! Think. 
 Why are they using the name 'NEST' so openly!"

 WHIP: "The NEST name is only known to some part of people with authority. Finally 
 feels like a real battle. However--" 

 MAXIMA: "After destroying a city, why are they coming out of secrecy? Is it for the 
 world to know who they are? I think staying in secrecy is a better choice for them."

 K': "Thinking about it won't do a thing. Let's go."

 As soon as K' spoke, Maxima stopped him.

 K': "Maxima, did you see that?"
 MAXIMA: "Yes, I saw it. I don't know why it's hiding itself, but I can see it with 
 the Temp. Detector."

 As Maxima said this, the shadow moved again. 

 WHIP: "Wh, why is that thing so fast!"

 The shadow scurried past Maxima, and suddenly stopped in front of K'. The shadow suddenly 
 threw a punch at K', who also swung his red gloved hand at him.

 But, K's fist didn't collide with the shadow's fist. K' stopped at the sight of his younger 
 sister standing in front of him. It is at that time, K' noticed the shadow's fist was 
 stopped by the Whip. 

 K': "Fuck, what did you do that for!" K' scolded.
 WHIP: "Sorry, K', but fighting without any meaning is best to be avoided. Now, let's listen
 to what the shadow has to say."

 In the dark facility, the three tied the shadow to a chair.

 The shadow was revealed to be a man in a dark suit with faded hair.

 WHIP: "That's enough. Lin, why were you following us? What is your mission?" 

 Whip pulled out a photo. Lin trembled at the sight of it. 

 WHIP: "So, you think you'll meet him if you follow us?"

 LIN: "...."

 WHIP: "He doesn't talk much, does he? How about it, K'? Let's put Lin in our team for the 
 tournament?" 

 K': "...whatever."

 MAXIMA: "Hey! Hey, K', Whip, are you sure about this? I mean, he might try to kill us 
 while we're asleep!"

 Maxima turned his back to Lin and faced towards K' and Whip. 

 WHIP: "Small things like that that doesn't matter to us."

 MAXIMA: "Shit, I don't like this guy. Oh well, if K' and you say it's okay, I don't mind. 
 So let's shake on it and to accept you as our teammate."

 When Maxima turned around, towards Lin, he had vanished.

 MAXIMA: "Man, what kind of guy is this? He doesn't even know how to say 'hi' or 'bye'?"
 WHIP:"That's okay, Maxima. If Lin becomes our teammate in the tournament, it becomes 
 easier, right K'?"

 K': "...." 
 
 Without a word, K' left.

 K' looked to the night alone. He could see all the stars in the sky glimmering.

 K': "My past and my future... were taken away by NEST. Parasites of my power... 
 Krizalid, Zero, and Kula, the power that is supposedly opposite of me."

 Whip and Maxima looked at K' with concern.

 MAXIMA: "I think K's in some deep thinking, Whip." 
 WHIP: "Yes. But, whatever we say... we have to finish them off-- for the people who died." 
 MAXIMA: "Yeah, NEST has to be destroyed!" 
 WHIP: "That's right." Whip answered.

 The two looked up at the night sky... thousands of stars fell among the three.

 The man takes off his vest and wipes off the sweat drops from his muscular body. 
 Then, a blonde man enters the dojo and walks near him.

 BENIMARU: "Yo, long time no see, Daimon."

 Surprised, the man turns around quickly to face the blonde man. 

 DAIMON: "Benimaru!"
 BENIMARU: "Working hard, eh? Now; you really look like a master."

 The two started their conversation on the bench near the dojo. 
 
 DAIMON: "By the way, Benimaru. You're not here to tell me old stories are you?"
 BENIMARU: "Hmm, actually I came in for this."

 Benimaru slowly handed a letter over to Daimon. 

 DAIMON: "This is the King of Fighters tournament invitation?"
 BENIMARU: "Mm... yeah. I'll get to the point. Daimon, please enter the tournament."

 DAIMON: "Benimaru, I'm--" 
 BENIMARU: "I know, it's because of Kyo right?"
 DAIMON: "Mmm.."
 BENIMARU: "What if I told you Kyo will enter the tournament too?" 
 DAIMON: "What!? Kyo in the tournament? You have got in contact with him?" 
 BENIMARU: "Yes. He's in Japan. I talked to him over the phone, and he is going to

 A man in a blue uniform was sitting on the park bench, with the moonlight gloom gleaming.
 
 SHINGO: "Kusanagi, we didn't have to meet in a place like this."

 There was no trace of human life form here. Shingo was really scared. In a dark place-- 
 here, by himself. 

 SHINGO: "Ahh, it' already passed 12 o'clock. Is Kusanagi really coming?" 
 He murmured, looking at the moon. 

 There was a sound behind him. Shingo spun around with fear.

 SHINGO: "Phew. What, am I imagining things?"

 Somebody was calling his name. He looked forward. There he was a man who he wanted to meet. 

 SHINGO: "Kusanagi!"

 He tried running toward him but; the hand covering his face stopped the affectionate moment.

 KYO: "Really, you haven't changed at all."
 SHINGO: "What about you! Where were you all this time!?" 
 KYO: "Hmm, here and there. By the way, where's Benimaru?"
 SHINGO: "Yes, Benimaru was suppose to be here soon-- ahh. There he is!" 

 With the moonlight reflecting off his hair, he walks towards the two. Behind him, was an 
 enormous man. 

 KYO: "Ah, that person."
 Kyo was shocked.  

 BENIMARU: "Yo, Kyo. Long time no see! I didn't bring any gifts, but I brought Daimon
 with me." 
 Benimaru joked.

 KYO: "Benimaru, Daimon..."

 DAIMON: "Long time no see, Kyo. I heard you've had some difficult times. I heard from 
 Benimaru." 
 
 KYO: "Oh?" 
 Kyo spoke sarcastically.

 BENIMARU: "Hey, hey. Let's not be too serious now. Anyway, I have to ask you something, 
 Kyo. You didn't go back to see Yuki, did you? She was worried."
 
 KYO: "Yuki? After this, I'll-- "

 BENIMARU: "Ha, who is that behind you? Oh, that's your so-called apprentice. Ha, he 
 looks like he became a little stronger than before."

 SHINGO: "Benimaru, only a little? That's mean."

 A burst of laughter ensued. 

 DAIMON: "Kyo, can you sense it?"
 KYO: "There's somebody spying on us. 3 people, they've been spying on us for a while now."

 He stopped when he came to a dark corner.

 RED HAIRED MAN: "What do you want?" 

 SETH: "You are Iori Yagami, right? I've been looking for you for a while, now."

 The ground where Iori was standing started shake. This type of power wasn't normal.

 IORI: "Who are you? What do you want?"

 SETH: "Oh-- I'm sorry. My name is Seth, nice to meet you."

 SETH: "Iori, do you know that you were invited to this years King of Fighters 
 tournament?"
 IORI: "What a boring event."
 SETH: "Then, what if I say that Kyo Kusanagi is entering the tournament?"

 Iori's face expression changed. At that same moment of time, the ground beneath them 
 rumbled ferociously.

 SETH: "What power is-- Is this the Yagami power? Y, your name is listed as our team

 IORI: "I'll enter the tournament, but..."
 SETH: "B, but what?"
 IORI: "If you or your team bothers me, I'll kill you!" 
 As Iori finished his threat, the whole area around them shook violently making 
 Seth fall backwards.

 On one knee, Seth looked up, but Iori was gone. 

 SETH: "He left. Is he even a human...?"

 While walking down the street, Iori had an evil grin on his face.
 IORI: "Kyo... I'll meet you soon. Just you wait."

 The sound of enjoyment was loud. Today the outdoor pool was full, at the side of the 
 pool, there was a woman, talking on a cell phone.

 VANESSA: "Okay, got it. We'll meet up with them too." 
 She turned off the phone, and lay on the sheet bed.
 
 VANESSA: "Ahh, this feels good."

 She didn't seem like a mother since she had such a wonderful body. All the guys passing 
 stared at her. Even though she noticed them, she just ignored them as if they weren't 
 there.

 TEEN: "*whistle* Looking good!"

 After this remark, a guy past the group of guys and called the woman. Scared of the 
 man, the group then scattered. The man had an eye patch and a well-muscled build.

 RAMON: "You are still popular around here, Vanessa."
 VANESSA: "Oh, Ramon. You're already here."

 Vanessa got up and took a sip of juice from the glass on the table beside her.

 RAMON: "I'll come any time you call me. And also we're well acquainted last tournament."
 VANESSA: "Thank you for saying that, but I have something to tell you. The last member 
 has been decided."
 RAMON: "Really, who would that be?"
 VANESSA: "It's Iori Yagami..."

 As soon as Ramon heard that name, his expression changed.

 RAMON: "That is a popular man. You think we can use him?"

 us advance in the tournament."

 After she said that, she poured juice into a glass and handed it over to Ramon.

 RAMON: "By the way, what time-- ah! Shoot! There's an interview I have to go to! 
 Well, see you at the tournament!"

 Without taking the juice from her, he left in a hurry.

 Said leona looking through the binoculars. 

 RALF: "What's going on? This tournament's sponsor has NEST's life depending on it!
 There must be something!"
 Ralf said, looking in the dark sky. But, he didn't see any stars. It was because the 
 stars all lost their light.
 
 RALF: "In the last tournament, that guy-- buried in the ground, was missing since then, 
 watching the movie data, back then he was able to talk to ghosts, but after that, 
 there was information that he was still alive-- but there is no proof is he really alive--"
 
 LEONA: "Ralf, Ralf! What are you doing?"
 RALF: "Ah, sorry. That's enough for today, Leona! Let's meet up with Clark."
 LEONA: "Got it."

 There was the sea of cobalt blue. The horizon town below blue sky looked like beautiful 
 scenery together. In the street, the people are full of energy and enthusiasm. Even in 
 this village, there is a secret hideout. 

 In this hideout, the Ikari team was.

 RALF: "Clark. How is it over there?"
 CLARK: "I used the military circuit to examine it but there's nothing special, but I'm 
 pretty sure that the tournament is officially opening."
 RALF: "Then, how about NEST?" 
 CLARK: "It's definite that NEST's life is on the line. I am not certain of their goal is."
 RALF: "Stupid! NEST destroyed a city in the last tournament! There has to be something."
 LEONA: "But, in your report it says satellite impact..."
 RALF: "Dammit, I can't get off this one!" 

 BAM!

 Ralf slammed his hand against the table.
 
 HEIDERN: "Ralf, stop being whiney."

 Everybody turned their eyes where the voice came from. Suddenly, there was a man with an 
 eye-patch. He was the leader of the Ikari team, Heidern.
 
 RALF: "General!"
 LEONA: "What are you doing here?"

 HEIDERN: "Don't be too surprised-- anyway take a look at this." 
 Heidern took out the package and threw it on the table. The three took out the contents 
 inside. They soon found it to be thick documents. Ralf came across a paper labeled 
 "Top Secret" and stopped.
 
 RALF: "What is this?"

 It was a photo captured by satellite. The photo was in bad quality because of the noise, 
 but it looked like it was important. 

 HEIDERN: "I do not know what it is, but it's great evidence to us. Now, open this one."
 
 Ralf opened up a KOF labeled pamphlet and whipped out 4 tournament entry tickets. 

 CLARK "Huh? 4 tickets? General... we're short of one person. Last time--" 
 HEIDERN: "Look at the pamphlet."

 Everybody peered at the pamphlet, following Heidern's orders.
 RALF: "Whip!?"
 HEIDERN: "Yes. This is definitely Whip. You can see her on the attached photo."
 CLARK: "She didn't even contact us!"

 Ralf looked at the entry list. 
 RALF: "What!? NEST team?!"
 LEONA: "NEST was a complete secret organization. One who knew NEST never told about NEST." 
 CLARK: "But, if Whip is already on a different team. We still need one person-- who 
 should it be?"
 
 HEIDERN: "So, this time... I decided to enter the tournament with you guys."
 CLARK: "That's fine with me, lets do some damage then."
 HEIDERN: "Then let's go straight to the briefing room."

 Blue bright sky, the feeling of the wind feels good. This is the park of South Town. 
 The shout of the children playing football or baseball never ends. 

 TERRY: "Yo! Everybody playing hard?"

 KID 1: "Yeah, it's Terry! You came again! That's cool!" 

 After Terry played basketball with the kids, he started talking on the bench. 

 KID 1: "Terry, nowadays they show a lot of commercials about another King of Fighters 
 tournament. You're going on the tournament right?" 
 
 TERRY: "Oh!? Yeah. They have another tournament this year. It so happens that I entered 
 it every year." 

 KID 2: "Terry, I hope you enter this year. You're the hero of this city." 

 KID 3: "I was watching you fight and it helped me to understand that we aren't alone." 

 Terry often visited the kids in the park. It was because they were kids without parents
 like him. And, like his stepfather he wanted to give them hope and courage. To see their 
 happy faces forever... Terry decided. 

 TERRY: "Alright! I'm entering!" 
 
 Terry said with a smile.

 KIDS: "Really? Oh yeah!" 


 The kids started jumping up and down.

 Looking at the happy faces of the children, Terry remembers the time he spent with his 
 stepfather Jeff. Missing those days, he looks to the sky. As he thinks, a woman gets 
 off her motorcycle and walks towards Terry. 

 MARY: "Terry, long time no see."

 Terry was surprised. 

 TERRY: "Oh, Mary! Good to see you! How did you know I was here?" 

 MARY: "I guessed that you were here. Hmm, It's like my women's intuition... anyway, 
 looks like you're having fun. What were you talking about?"

 TERRY: "Actually, it's about this year's King of Fighters tournament. I wanted to make 
 them happy." 

 MARY: "Oh... actually I came here, because of the tournament too. This case involves the 
 tournament again."
 
 TERRY: "Really? I'll help you again, Mary! Let's rock in this tournament." 

 Mary laughed.

 MARY: "Even though it's a case, I have to solve it because of the client, sometimes I 
 forget it's a case and I want to enter the tournament. I always get help from you and 
 this time I want to lend a hand." 

 TERRY: "Hah. Then, Mary you're entering the tournament with us this time right?"

 MARY: "Yeah Terry!"

 TERRY: "Alright, guys! Like last time, the victory is ours!"

 The setting changed to Japan. Andy was training a disciple at Shiranui's town. With torn 
 clothes and bare feet, he was very young but Andy trained him harshly.

 ANDY: "I think you know about KOF as well."

 HOKUTOMARU: "Yes, Master talked about it a lot."

 ANDY: "Hmm, my brother contacted me. I'm entering this year and I want to show you my 
 fighting till the end. I want to show you what a real fight is." 
 
 HOKUTOMARU: "Yes! I know!"

 ANDY: "And... erm, can you talk to Mai for me? I can't tell her that we're not entering 
 the tournament together." 
 
 Andy said biting his lip.

 HOKUTOMARU: "Master, again? It's always me that has to calm down my sister. Ah! 
 Master! Recently you opened a dojo right? Why don't you go hide there?" 

 ANDY: "No, I can't. Mai would probably be waiting for me there... I can't hide."

 HOKUTOMARU: "Then, Master. Do what you can. Then, see ya!"

 Back in Thailand, Joe was having matches everyday as a Muay Thai Champ for many months. 
 One day when Joe had a day off, he visited a gym where he got trained. But, gym he 
 visited wasn't lively as before. Joe met his old teacher. 

 JOE: "Good to see you. Master, what happened here? There's no action here. Wha?" 

 JOE'S TRAINER: "Oh, it's Joe! Long time! It's good to see a Muay Thai champ! This gym 
 isn't like what it used to be before. They all want to be strong, but training here 
 costs money and time. If it keeps going on like this we may have to shut down." 

 JOE: "Wait, master! I'll do something about it, but don't close this gym!" 

 A few days later, at sunrise, Terry was in front of his father, Jeff's burial. He was 
 here to tell his father that he is entering the tournament. Terry put a flower on the 
 burial and heard a familiar voice behind him.

 In the same dark room as before, the two women arguing with K'9999 were there.
 DIANA: "Gee, what an annoying member."
 FOXY: "True."
 DIANA: "You should be careful, Foxy. Whatever happens to Angel, K9999 won't take it 
 lying down. He seems like he doesn't care whatever happens to this organization."
 
 FOXY: "Yes. But, his strength is unequalled. He may be the strongest member in this 
 whole organization. Being be careful is risky."

 DIANA: "Sorry. This time I didn't get an official order to be in the tournament. So, 
 that kid--"
 FOXY: "I know, Diana. If it's about Kula, leave it to me."

 The two were thinking for a while. 

 'Being in the tournament is our order. This mission didn't feel like the typical NEST 
 mission but nevertheless the mission is to be done. I am loyal to this organization.'

 KULA: "Candy!"

 Kula rose from her dream. Tears trickled down her cheek. She didn't wipe the tears 
 off; instead she peered at the window. The sunlight was shining through the curtains.

 It was definite that if she went to the NEST commander, she could meet Candy again. 

 'In this mission, Candy will help me. But, it's not the same Candy. A robot can be made 
 again. I am a living animal, I'll die eventually, but recently I have thought of this. 
 Can I be remade again? Am I a human without a past? She looked into the mirror in her 
 room. What... am I really? Am I a robot? This is confusing me!  Stop thinking!' Kula thought.

 BAO: "Ugh, Kensou, I can't shoot Psycho Ball."

 KENSOU: "It's okay, Bao, you'll able to soon enough."

 Bao looked like he was about to cry, picking up the food with chopsticks. Bao 
 was very serious unlike before, Kensou tried to cheer him up.

 BAO: "Well, Kensou you still can't shoot Psycho Ball."

 KENSOU: "Ugh! You're hurting me there-- we should train hard together." 

 BAO: "Yeah, I'll train hard!"

 KENSOU:  "Good! Good!" 
 Said Kensou with a smile on his face, but inside he really wasn't that happy. The 
 power hasn't still returned him. Trying to forget his problems, he shoves his food 
 into his mouth.

 KENSOU: "Athena! One more bowl!"

 ATHENA: "Huh? Kensou, you already ate 3 bowls of rice? Are you sure?"

 KENSOU: "It's okay. Kensou's stomach isn't that weak."

 Chin, who was listening to the conversation, finally decided to speak. 
 
 CHIN: "Power doesn't come back, if you don't train..."
 
 Athena agreed. 
 ATHENA: "That too. Master Chin" 

 Kensou laughed. 
 KENSOU: "Master Chin, Athena. That's different."

 Early morning, where the little birds chirping were heard. Bao and Kensou's training 
 was still going on. 
 KENSOU: "99... 100. Phew! I'm tired..." 
 Kensou wiped his brow.

 BAO: "Kensou, you always reach the standard push-ups."

 KENSOU: "Ha, of course. I can't be lying around in this perfect condition!" 
 But, Kensou was already worn out. 

 BAO: "Then, shoot Psycho Ball now!" 
 Bao moaned.

 KENSOU: "Wha! Now!?"

 BAO: "Don't you think when you are in a good condition, it'll work?"

 KENSOU: "Okay! Let's give it a try!"

 BOOOOM! 

 The tree snapped. 

 KENSOU: "Wow! That was great! I... uh--" Kensou collapsed.

 CHIN: "What happened to Kensou?"

 Athena was taking care of a knocked out Kensou. Next to her, Chin was listening to Bao. 
 Kensou used up all his strength on push-ups and unleashed the Psycho Ball. Maybe Kensou's 
 power was hidden deeply inside him.. and Bao's too. 

 CHIN: "Okay... I was wondering if we should enter or not, but I've decided. This year, 
 we're entering!"

 Athena turned to Chin. 
 ATHENA: "Uh... Master. But, Kensou is out cold and Bao's power hasn't returned yet."

 CHIN: "That's why we're entering the tournament. Like the last tournament something 
 might change. And if we're lucky, we'll get a good result."

 ATHENA: "You're right. Entering the tournament can get us answers."

 BAO: "I wish my psychic power would return. I wish yours would return too, Kensou!"

  3.  SYSTEM EXPLANATION
 =========================================================================
 
 Here, some of the systems in KOF2K1 are explained, regardless if they 
 are new additions or old additions. Though, the explanation might be 
 long, there is a chance that some of this information is incorrect. It 
 will be confirmed after some research.



 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 LIFE GAUGE
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 

 The Life Gauge is a must for fighting games. Attacks, throws, commands, 
 special moves, Desperation Moves and Super Desperation Moves, Strikers
 all inflict damage to the player, thus causing the Life Gauge to lower.
 
 The Life Gauge Ratio has raise or lower depending on the Tactical Order 
 selected.

 On the case of chipping damage, only special moves, Desperation Moves 
 and Super Desperation Moves cause chip damage.

 Obviously, when the Life Gauge reaches zero, the player has lost.


 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 POWER GAUGE
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 

 The Power Gauge is an essential asset to a fight. When the Power Gauge 
 gains a stock, you are able to perform a DM. When the Power Gauge gains 
 two stocks, you are able to perform a SDM.

 The rise of the Power Gauge is always the same, but the amount it needs
 to gain upon gaining a stock is determined by the Tactical Order chosen 
 (for more information, refer to the Tactical Order section).

 Performing special moves will raise the Power Gauge. If that move 
 connects (hits or blocked) with the opponent, it will raise higher. 
 Throws, command moves and normal attacks raise the Power Gauge, but to 
 a lower extent. Performing a DM depletes one stock and performing a 
 SDM depletes two stocks.

 Aside from being able to perform DMs and SDMs, the Power Gauge has more 
 uses. A Striker call now depletes one stock from the Power Gauge.

 When being chipped near death, it is always useful to perform a Guard 
 Break command. Guard Break command is performed by pressing C + D 
 during blocking an attack. Another alternative would be a Guard Roll. 
 A Guard Roll is performed by pressing A + B + f/b during blocking an 
 attack.


 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 ROLLING
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 

 The Evade Roll is fairly old in the King Of Fighters series. The Evade 
 Roll that was introduced in KOF96 still remains the same. Much unlike 
 the Evade Roll from KOF99, it has now reverted back to the original 
 roll.

 The Evade Roll is performed by pressing A + B + f/b. Pressing the 
 forward direction and the A and B buttons will make the character 
 Evade Roll forward. Pressing the backward direction and the A and B 
 buttons will make the character Evade Roll backwards.

 Whilst performing an Evade Roll, the character is invincible for a short 
 period of time. This means the character is able to Evade Roll through 
 projectiles and command moves, special moves and even some DMs/SDMs. 
 But an Evade Roll is unable to pass through some certain special throws 
 and DM/SDM throws.

 When falling/being knocked down, a character can also perform a 
 Recovery Roll. By pressing A + B whilst falling, the character will 
 recover from a falling position into a roll. This will ensure that the 
 character will not be hit by on the ground hits.


 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 TACTICAL ORDER
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 
 
 The Tactical Order System is a new addition to the King of Fighters 
 series. After selecting your four characters, you will have to choose 
 your order and the tactical order of your characters. You can position 
 your four characters as either strikers or fighters. As a fighter, they 
 will fight the battle itself, like regular King of Fighters battles. As 
 a striker, they will come in when called upon and assist your fighting 
 character in battle. You must have a minimum of one fighting character 
 and a maximum of four fighting characters. You can have a minimum of 
 one strikers to a maximum of three strikers.

 However, there are different advantages and disadvantages with some of 
 the Tactical Orders.

 Advanced Order:
 Four Fighters/No Strikers
 Guard Level: 1
 Gauge Size: 4
 Stock Number: 1
 + You have the most fighting characters
 - You are without any strikers
 - You are unable to do SDMs

 KOF99 Order:
 Three Fighters/One Striker
 Guard Level: 2
 Gauge Size: 3
 Stock Number: 2
 + You have a decent amount of fighters
 + You are can perform SDMs
 - You are have one striker

 Balanced Order:
 Two Fighters/Two Strikers
 Guard Level: 3
 Gauge Size: 2
 Stock Number: 3
 + You have equal characters and strikers
 + You can perform SDMs

 New Age Order:
 One Fighter/Three Strikers
 Guard Level: 4
 Gauge Size: 1
 Stock Number: 4
 + You have the most strikers
 + You can perform SDMs
 - Once you lose a round, the battle is lost


 Guard Level being the rank of how much damage you take in battle. A 
 higher Guard Level means taking in less damage.

 Gauge Size means the size of your gauge. A higher Gauge Size means 
 longer for the gauge to fill up.


 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 STRIKERS
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 
 
 The Striker System has been evolving even since its debut and now in 
 KOF2K1, it has changed once again. This time you are able to select the 
 number of strikers you wish (for more information, refer to the 
 Tactical Order section). 

 The Striker Bombs have been abolished and have been replaced. Calling 
 in a striker now takes up a power stock from the power gauge.

 The abolishment of the Active Striker system from KOF2K means that 
 strikers are unable to come in at any time. But, in addition to the 
 abolishment of the Active Striker system, there is now a Cancel Striker 
 system, whereby a player can constantly attack with a striker over and 
 over again. The requirements to perform a Striker Cancel is for the 
 opponent to be on the ground and the player needs at least 1 or 2 stocks 
 on the power gauge.

 You can have up to three strikers maximum and no strikers minimum. 
 Having strikers can aid you, as the strikes do not take any damage 
 inflicted on them, however they are quite costly.

 When selecting an Order with one striker, B + C calls the striker out.
 When selecting an Order with two strikers, B + C calls out striker 1 and
 f + B + C calls out striker 2. When selecting an Order with three 
 strikers, B + C calls out striker 1, f + B + C calls out striker 2 and 
 b + B + C calls out striker 3.

 Most, if not all the striker's actions now launch up the opponent in 
 one way or another, enabling the same possibilities for all strikers.


 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 SUPER CANCELING
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 

 Super Canceling is new to the King of Fighters series, but has been 
 around in the fighting game world for quite some time.

 Each character has at least one Super Cancel move, whereby when the 
 character performs the move, it is cancelable into a DM or a SDM. It has
 been noticed that Super Canceling moves are not too difficult to perform
 and they deal very hard damage.
 
 
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 WIRE DAMAGE
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 

 The new Wire Damage System can best be explained and referred to as a 
 one time wall bounce back. Every character has a Wire Move. When the 
 Wire Move connects with an opponent, the opponent flies back to the 
 end of the screen and bounces back to the player. The player is then 
 free to follow up with anything they wish.

 Wire Moves are inescapable and the possibilities of the follow up are 
 almost limitless. However, a Wire Move will lose its Wire Capabilities 
 when chained or comboed into, making the Wire Move the actual combo 
 starter for some.

 However, not all Wire Moves are actual motions / character moves. For 
 some, the Wire Move is a command, take Daimon for instance, his Wire 
 Attack is speculated to be a jump CD.

 There are two types of Wire Attacks / Damages. There is a Critical 
 Wire and a Counter Wire.

 During a Critical Wire, performing the move that has Critical Wire 
 properties on its own will send the opponent bouncing into the wall 
 and return to you. However, if chained into, the Critical Wire 
 loses its Wire properties.

 During a Counter Wire, performing the move that has Counter Wire 
 properties on its own will send the opponent bouncing into the wall 
 and return to you. This can only work on a Counter hit.

  4.  MISCELLANEOUS
 =========================================================================
 
 So far, there has yet to be secrets. There have been no secrets found, 
 but surely, that will change. But, in this revision, the middle boss and
 the last boss is explained. If you have spoilers, now your chance to 
 scroll down.







 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
 ORIGINAL ZERO
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 
 
 -MID BOSS-

 Apparently this is the real Zero. The Zero that perished in KOF2K was a
 clone and this one has sights on challenging you. Wearing basically the
 same outfit, this does not mean he hasn't changed.

 First of all, this Zero has no Power Gauge, which doesn't mean he can't
 do DMs / SDMs, this means he has unlimited access to Strikers and DMs
 and everything and anything costing a stock.

 To make matters worst, he has three strikers. One of them is Lion, 
 Zero's pet lion. His striker action is: he leaps from the sky and 
 charges forward.

 His second striker is Krizalid. Whether it is the real one or a clone or
 a revived version is unsure. He basically looks like he did before. His
 striker action is: he slides onto the screen and performs a C version of
 his old Typhoon Rage. Which means, reflecting projectiles and momentary
 defence.

 His third striker however, is the worst of them all. It is Long, Lin's
 leader. Looking trashed up, he appears from the ground and slowly, but 
 suddenly charges forward. This attack is unblockable and Zero has the AI
 to follow it up with something nasty.

 IGNIS
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 

 -FINAL BOSS-

 The final bosses name is Ignis. A character looking similar to Kain from 
 Mark of the Wolves. Following boss fashion, he is devastating. His moves
 consist of a use of tremendous power.

 One of his DMs consist of him summoning many purple pillars from the 
 ground. Another of them consists him driving his opponent into a wall, 
 followed by a whip from his cape, followed by rapid cape strikes looking 
 like Yamazaki's Snake Arms, then four plasma explosions ending with a 
 huge sphere of electricity.

 He does not have a Power Gauge, meaning he can perform as many DMs / 
 SDMs as he wants. He does not have any strikers.
