Version 1.0: Has it really been that long? I really need to work more on
             this sort of thing...added all the English names, plus fixed
             the Thunder Liger ability. (Thanks to Matt Sheperd)
             I've also decided to keep it the "Kyarabon" FAQ since it was
             based on the Japanese version.

Version 0.9: My first FAQ and make of it. FAQ has a list of Kyarabon's and
info
             about them, in general and individually.
             It still has a lot of Max Stats and other How to get info
missing.
             Please send in help!

                                What is a Kyarabon?
                                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In Bomberman Story, there are various critters that Bomberman meets called
"Kyarabon"(in Japanese). They don't attack foes directly, but they do help
him along his quest to save Max with their talents, such as lighting up
rooms. There are 25 of these such creatures, ranging from Pommy
(from Bomberman 64: Second Attack) to Flaming Monkeys!
                                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                                About Battles
                                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kyarabon's aren't only for aid. They also fight to earn money and bomb
parts.
There are three main attributes to a Kyarabon: Strength, Defence, and
Special.
Strenght determines how strong the basic attack is. Defence is how well they
can withstand attacks. Special is how strong the Special attack is. These
are
upgraded by collecting Strength, Defence, and Special Icons from under Soft
Blocks. For each Icon collected, the respective level of the selected
Kyarabon
is increased by one.
There are also two secondary attributes of Kyarabon's, Level and HP, or Hit
Points. Level is just a general asessment of how high a Kyarabon's Attack,
Defence, and Special are. (It is the average.) HP is simply the total of the
Strength, Defence, and Special. Level has no importance, besides telling you
at a glance haw strong the Kyarabon is. HP, however, is critical in battles.
With each blow, HP is reduced. If you run out of HP, or if you have the
lesser
HP at the end of the battle, you lose. HP is recovered after each battle.
Battles in Bomberman Story take place a bit differently than your normal RPG
brawl. Before the battle actually begins, you chose a Kyarabon, then pick,
from
a list of nine, three commands that consist of three actions each. The order
of
the actions are different for each command, but each has the Attack, Defend,
and
Special actions. After you chose your commands, the battle commences. Your
Kyarabon is on the left, and your opponent is on the right. The actions of
the
commands you and your opponent chose are carried out, one at a time, by the
Kyarabons. (You always have a slight advantage in battles becuase if neither
Kyarabon is defending, then your Kyarabon gets to attack first.) If one
Kyarabon's HP is reduced to zero, or if it has less HP at the end of the
three rounds, then that Kyarabon loses. (Kyarabons don't get experience from
wins, but they are tallied, along with the losses, on their information
screen.)
The power of the Special attack depends on the type of the attacking and
defending
Kyarabon's. My chart shows the power(on the side is attacking, on the top is
defending):
F=Fire, G=Ground, L=Lightning, W=Water
O=Effective, X=Nuetral
F G L W
FX O X X
GX X O X
LX X X O
WO X X X
