DRAGON WARRIOR MONSTERS FAQ/CHARACTER GUIDE Author: Gamer003 ( Gamer003@hotmail.com ) Date: 08 - 19 - 00 Version: Final The Dragon Quest series has been a huge hit in Japan in recent times. A new breed of games has been born, the monster collecting type games, like Poke'mon. The series has finally come to the United States under the title of Dragon Warrior. This game is more like monster rancher than Poke'mon though, you collect and breed monsters, to make your team the strongest. You will go through lots of different stages to collect the most powerful monsters, so you can dominate all the others. This FAQ does have some other tips but it is mainly a character guide. It will tell you about all of the families and what monsters are in those familys. I hope you can use the information on them. -Gamer003 Revision History ---------------- 1/26 - sent FAQ to Gamefaqs. 3/6 - Update 3/8 - Update Final Version - Finished up all the loose ends. TABLE OF CONTENTS ================= 1. About Game 2. Basic Gameplay 3. Monsters - Families - Family Lists NEW - Dungeon Stats 4. Credits 5. Copyright 1. About Game Like I said earlier, the game is part of the new breed of games, the collecting monster breed. These games have taken the world by storm so fast it's amazing. There are now spin off cartoons ala Digimon,, and even card games and stuffed monsters. 2. Basic Gameplay You will start in the castle of GreatTree, a kingdom built inside and around a giant tree. You will explore all around the great tree searching for monsters and items to add your quest. The travelers gates and the arena are the two key places in the game. Once you have conquered all of these places by collecting the most powerful monsters, you will compete in the arena. You will start on "G" and work your way up through the ranks to "S". Once you get to "S" you will fight in the Starry Night tournament. If you win the king will help you find your sister. Always have a plan, don't just go up winging it, know your order and how powerful your opposition is. Happy hunting! 3. Monsters FAMILIES ========== Each monster belongs to its own family. All of the families are unique in an odd way, that is why they are grouped together. Plus all of the families have general characteristics which are listed in this FAQ. Remember, always go for the more powerful families. Slime Family ------------ When you start the game, Slime is your only monster. These are just the all around average monsters that aren't to hard to obtain. Early in the game some of them will be essential to your well being. 1. Drakslime 2. BoxSlime 3. SpotSlime 4. Slime 5. And he is an accomplished author too. He also takes on the challenge of being the king of the message board, or at least head moderator. <-> Dingo Jellybean: I don't know about you, but he is simply just my favorite writer. He has also helped me in the past with things like txt. form, especially when I just started writing for GAMEFAQS. <-> Kao Megura: He had nothing to do with this Faq, but I simply admire the amount of work that he has done in a little time.He also has some pretty cool ASCII art, check it out. <-> Myself: Really, all I did was compile the info and type it all up. No big deal. I just hope you can use this FAQ, really I do. <-> Dallas: He also helped me with txt. form when I was a lowly little beginner with only 14k. He is my 2nd favorite writer. <-> THANKS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS <-> Copyright --------- THIS FAQ MAY NOT BE REPRODUCED IN ANY WAY EXCEPT ELECTRONICALLY.
