What is FS2002 Aircraft Shutdown?

FS2002 Aircraft Shutdown systematically shuts down aircraft systems if they are in use.  This is useful if you've created and started a flight with the aircraft "running" but prefer to start with a "cold and dark" cockpit.  It's also useful if you don't want to manually execute shutdown procedures after a flight for whatever reason.

The following shutdown procedures will be executed in the order shown ...

You may activate a shutdown either by selecting the "Start Shutdown" button or by selecting the assigned "Shutdown Hotkey" while in Microsoft Flight Simulator.  If you use the shutdown hotkey, it may take a second for the key press to register with FSAS so just keep it (them) held down until it does.

As a safety precaution, you cannot initiate a shutdown if the aircraft is airborne.

Note that some shutdown procedures may not work with aircraft that include custom systems such as Phoenix Simulation Software's line of commercial aviation aircraft.

FS2002 Aircraft Shutdown should work with most, if not all, General Aviation and default FS2002 aircraft.
